This is an original composition in 10 movements - involving soloists and chorus in various combinations - with narration, which tells the Christmas story much in the manner of the Heinrich Schütz Christmas cantata.  The text is drawn primarily from St. Luke and is slightly paraphrased by the composer.  Originally scored for SATB Soloists, SATB Chorus and small Orchestra: fl, ob, cl, bsn, hn, tpt, perc, hp, 3 vln, vla, cello, bs.  Organ is not required.  Also scored for large Orchestra: WWs in 2s, 3 hn, 3 tpt, 2 tbn, tba, timp, 3 perc, hp and strings.  Both orchestrations available on a rental-only basis.
